Promoting Black History Now, and Every Day, for Everyone
The DCBHCC is a 501 (c) (3) organization, established to serve as a model organization to all cities as they promote and celebrate the achievements and contributions that African-Americans have made to America. To help foster its mission, the Committee will offer the Washington Metropolitan Community city-wide forums which will focus on individual and institutional contributions and explore issues that affect African-Americans today, these issues include health, jobs, educational opportunities, racism, police reform, and other issues that affect our community.
"DCBHCC continues to serve as a much-needed catalyst for Black History across the nation. The work done by DCBHCC is not only informative but also inspiring during a time where learning and understanding your history is critical. DCBHCC is not only informing people about past history but also reminding people that we are living in history."
